The issues have made the news! Was a front page Yahoo news lead a while back as Sync and the transmission issues pushing Fords quality rating from I think #5 to #21 in a year. All you need to do is search Google news.
Example: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505145_1...bility-survey/ Consider yourself lucky, I'm not one of the lucky ones :( Jerry Quote:

Well I am having issues with the transmission and some may not have this issue but mine does and alot of others do. My uncle is taking care of the issue I dont need to give my information out. Yes he is looking into it. He told me last night that Wayne or where ever they are built he talked to someone over there who works in the quality part of the plant and that he spoke with a man at his location and he has my vin the mileage and everything. Its nice to know that family members that work there can actually get things done. We bought 4 cars last year 2 Taurs, and 2 focus. The other focus we bought was my 2008 that had no issues. I am just curious what will happen but i have to wait a few week to see.

JUST GOT A CALL FROM MY UNCLE management is putting a tracker on my car and that we will be hearing from someone up there in management. He told me that there will be something in the system and i will get a copy telling them THEY HAVE TO FIX IT and if they dont then they will have to give me a new car. Here is my thought on that if they cant fix it why would I want another one? They are trying to get rid of their fusions for the new models id rather get a SE fusion insead of having the touch screen and the nav. and all the extras on the SEL for a car that actually works. Cant wait to hear from them to see what the next step it.

Yea, I guess an article about Ford's 2012 issues is "old news" and irrelevant since it was on the internet, even if it's CBS. Thanks for pointing that out.
I'm going to continue to discuss the serious vehicle issues I have experienced with my 2012 Focus here. The forum thread specifically states "issues with the new 2012 Ford Focus" so this is the appropriate thread, right? If your car is perfect, great, that's fantastic, but mine and others here are not and we share many of the same complaints. I'm not a kid and this vehicle was an addition to household that has a 94 and 98 Escort that have been rock solid. I'm by no means a Ford hater, just the opposite and that's why the Focus was purchased and I regret it. Enjoy your Focus but please don't disrespect others that are having problems and trying to get them resolved. Jerry |

I apologize to those who took my remarks personally and for some reason were offended. My Focus is a superb machine so I had difficulty with some of the caustic remarks. I realize some of you are dealing with serious issues. I've had them with some of my cars as well.
Anyway I see no reason for me to continue posting and I will cease doing so as of now. I truly hope all of you with issues get them resolved. Adios. |

UDATE got a call from ford service up in MI and they will be sending a service rep to drive with me and the tech from the dealer and they will be taking notes on what to do. she also told me that since it was in for more than 3x and one of those times was for 8 days that they consider it an issue. I will hear back and get the tracking number that they are going to put on my car and then the date to drifve it with the rep and service tech. I cant wait to drive up that hill and have them hear what i have to hear everyday and see the techs face. Very happy im able to have this done because im so sick of driving like that and have to hear all of the loud sounds it makes and have it shake and raddle.

After all this have you not driven the vehicle with a technician where the problem occurs? The reason I ask is not to patronize, but I'm a very experienced technician, a former Ford motor engineer (the type FCSD is sending out to look at your car) and I'm also an automotive instructor...therefore I'm pretty familiar with the repair process. It's pretty understandable that issues can be intermittent and there is a possibility that upon previous service visits the techs haven't been able to verify your concerns - and therefore won't make any "shotgun" attempts to repair it. It's quite common for customers and/or service personnel to recommend a test drive with a tech present... |

Past Post
I posted a while back about having both clutches replaced by dealer and that turned out to be my "fix". I really thought I would see some posts that followed my lead. Go to your dealers and demand new clutches.
