what is thing below and to right of steering wheel?

I just got my new 2012 Focus SEL Saturday and am still trying to figure out what everything is and how it works. I was wiring in my radar detector and saw a thing that looks like a mic in the panel below the steering wheel. It is below and to the right of the steering wheel. Does anyone know what this is? I will post a pic tomorrow for clarification.

Its the inlet that measures the air temp for the auto climate control.

Thanks. Thats what i started thinking it was.

What wire did you end up tapping into?

i used an add a circuit and tapped into the far lower right fuse(the only one controlled by the ignition switch)

This is the only car I'm having a hard time finding something to tap into. Thanks for your help
