Also there are 2 dealerships(both 3 hours away from me) that have identical cars, should I pit these guys up against each other? Or should I see if my local dealership would get it for me?

My MSRP was $28,210 and the OTD was $23,630($2000 rebate, $500 private cash, no sales tax in NH). With the interest rate being so low, you're better off taking the rebate. Use this website http://www.loanamortizationschedule.org/ to figure out how much interest you would pay.

bernie how much of a discount is the X plan? MSRP was 26580. How can you "give me one of yours" is it a coupon or an employee code or something? LMK

The X plan is a code that I can have generated with info from you. I'm allowed to give away 4 per year to "friends and neighbors". I'm not sure what the discount would be but cash backs and rebates would still apply. Also, if you have an X plan code, the dealer can only charge you $75.00 for documentation instead of the $350 - $400 that they can charge everyone else.

There are a number of specific states that have allowed the standard fees to be charged even on x plans. North Carolina is one of them, verify that where u purchase is not one of these to avoid any misunderstanding.

Wasn't part of the plan rules that even under those conditions it was supposed to be marked down that the remainder was paid by Ford, which in essence means that you still shouldn't be responsible for more than the $100 document fee on X plan?

Only A/Z plan is $75 for the document fee, X is higher because its a supplier and friends discount, not an employee/ retiree and immediate family member discount, afaik.
