When I bought my SE Sporthatch, it was HEAVILY discounted on the Sport package. I wonder if the general (non-enthusiast) buying public spoke with their wallets. If they couldn't sell them at full price, why continue to make them? Maybe this should be it's own thread...

Almost one year later and I still absolutely love this car. Sounds like all of us without the fancy technology like our cars more. :)

Red Candy SE Sport 5-door with 203A package, 5-speed manual transmission. Just went over 13k miles yesterday...

Love the car.
Cheers

Sounds like mine, although I didn't really want the moon roof. I was really hoping to get one with the upgraded 17 inch wheels but this was the only sonic blue 5 door in the entire area so I guess I had to settle.

My Focus was heavily discounted as well. I bought mine from Koons. Between their dealerships in Northern Virginia and Maryland, they have several SE Sports with manual transmissions left--and they are heavily discounted. Now is a good time to buy.

^^ May have to check 'em out, although I was really hoping to get one with the Tuscan Red interior - and I know THOSE aren't sitting around on dealer lots.

Although I'm annoyed by some of the changes for 2013 (no more piano black front end for the SE, unless you opt for the "Black Pack" - which I wouldn't want due to the black spoiler and mirrors that it comes with), it's nice to see that hatches will no longer be sold with ugly hubcaps - SE Sport 16" wheels standard. Nice.

Also nice is that, presumably, one will be able to buy "Black Pack" parts individually - in particular the black foglight housings

I tried to go to the Ford website and build a 2013 Focus that was as similar to my 2012 SEL HB as I could get it. After getting most of the things my SEL has on it (some could not be added or found) and adding them as options to an SE, the price comes out to be higher than what I paid for my SEL by almost 2K. I find it hard to believe that in order to get foglamps, I have to get leather. Leather is not a very good option in hot climates where I am. If I looked at the titanium I am stuck getting MFT and leather also. The SEL model from 2012 was a great model. It had all the stuff I wanted and no extra fluff that I don’t need. The only option I added was a moonroof. The problem with the TI in 2012 and 2013 is the lack of color selection both inside and out. In 2012 the SE and SEL have a great more exterior color options. The TI had limited selection in 2012 and again in 2013. Plus the TI only has dark interiors that also are not so popular in desert climates. Thank goodness for the 2012 SEL HB!!!
