Yeah, actually 22 and change. But It has 13k miles left on bumper to bumper, so I'm good with it. The test drive was fine. The only thing is the sputter in the morning. I think it's either fuel pressure or the friction plates on the faux auto-manual transmission. I went from a 97 neon 109,000 miles frequent over heating, to this so, a little sputter in the am and the then all day perfection.... I'll take it. I would have been upset if I acually paid 20 something thousand for the same problem.

Just filled my tank. After mostly city driving, 20 or 30 miles highway I averaged 30.4 MPG. My odometer reads a bit over 4000 miles.

I didn't notice the shake at all test driving the car, only noticed it when my girlfriend pointed it out. My 5-speed Civic does the exact same thing except much more violently, so it actually seemed smooth to me until it was pointed out. Now that I notice it it's somewhat annoying, but it only happens every so often.
That being said the car only has 100 miles on it so hopefully it'll smooth itself out. |

Hi exact same problems exact same price. IN Virginia our lemon law states 3 times in shop for same problem with no fix, well today was my third time in a month, car has 3,000 miles on it and is getting worse, so now I file a lemon law claim and going to court.

I got the recall letter; took it in 3,000 miles ago; This has been goin on since I got it; told I had to break it in. The dealer called ad told me theyreset computer; Ford CO. called left message for me to call them on Mon. I called another dealer that I'm familiar with in Southern CA. they told me the need to get a transmission specialist sit has to do with clutch issue in the transmission. So, guess I will see what they say...When the car didn't spaz out on me I did get avg in town 34 miles to gal. and once in awhile I got 38 to 42 on freeway. Thanks for the info and will see what happens..I'm just scared to drive it now.

If you are afraid to drive your car, then take it to the dealer and have it looked at under warranty. If your dealer is not being cooperative, then you should contact our Ford Customer Service representative with your name, VIN, and the dealer in question. Uncooperative dealers cooperate after being contacted by Ford corporate.
