Paint quality problems?

Titanium Tony, that is pretty horrible; how long did you have the car when that popped up? Fortunately, I haven't had any paint issues except for a couple of chips from rocks/debris that gouged the bumper a little bit - so those were unavoidable.

There has been many issues posted on the F150 forum I'm on as well with paint being so thin that you can see the primer under it.

It was discovered a month after taking delivery but still shocked that something like this slipped through Fords quality control and a scratched up moon roof glass is the other QA issue I'm having.

Hail is a bummer; been there and done that! Contact your insurance company immediately. Have you seen the dealer for a damage estimate?

I'm with you; I take it on the interstate a lot and it clearly shows. I have around 8,000 miles on my ride and will be purchasing a bra/film in two shakes of a lamb's tail. Thomas, thanks for the offer but in my case I am just going to fix it with Ford touch up paint. I know the the way a body shop would do if they indeed wanted to do properly. There would be small areas of basecoat blending and then a coat of clear over a huge span of panels done in a dealership bodyshop. Not for me unless the car was in a collision. Personally I can live with a minor chip imperfection that is at the least going to be sealed up and presentable once I am done.

I just started on mine, painted, sanded, clearcoated, still need to polish, but it looks better than the chips did, is not really noticeable unless the light hits it a certain way.

I have problems with my chest paint of myford focus. In front edge is not good paint applied.
I believe that at the time was formed and this is a drop callus, leaving a small part without a painting , is very small, but that is me discontent

I've had my car 3500 miles so far and the paint is in fairly good shape except for two small but noticable chips right above the ford logo on the hood Given that I'm wearing Tuxedo black they stand out a bit more
