Also another reason I'm ok with spending more on the G to be ESP competitive and not buy something like a Miata or w/e is cuz not very many people run the Infiniti's. But you see miata's e'ry where. I don't wanna be a bandwagoner despite how much more sense it makes financially.

also I dont wanna be a bandwagoner but I want to get the most amount of racing for my money. I'd rather do 30 races a year and buy tires once a year vs doing 20 races a year and praying my tires last 2 whole season.

Also the star spec set up should in theory get me 2 seasons.. and once the car is set up proper i'm sure V710's will make it through at least 1 season unless i dual drive a whole lot

I'm counting on star specs to last me 1 full summer of DD/Auto-X/HPDE use

but at $500 a crack I dont mind replacing them yearly.

For use of them for all 3 things then ya.. yearly sounds about right.

My set of star specs I hope to get at least 2 seasons out of since they will only be used for auto-x/hpde. Same goes for the V710's when I get there. So replacing tires bi-yearly/yearly ain't bad either.

Infact I'm pretty sure I'll only be having to get 1 set of star specs because after the '13 and '14 seasons I should be ready to start going with slicks

Yup same thing!

we'll wind up spending as much in tires but I'll be lazy and wont have to swap star specs at the track.

should also slightly faster tires since i'll have new tires yearly vs 2 years.......although Curt says he has 3 years on same tires and they are just now getting slow.

Meh swapping tires with a cordless impact takes like 10 minutes.. w/e

Does Curt daily that car on those tires too or just swap them on to race and drive to/from events?

Daily as well.

Also reading on the SCCAForums it looks like the new focus ST will be getting classed in DS.

makes sense given how similar it is to the MS3
