another dropped spi valve seat....

the spi intake valve seat #4 finally let go about 2 weeks ago, seems like a good august project for me, the sidewalls look fine, i plan on putting in a new piston, i already have a new cylinder head:http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...inder+head+atk does anyone out there have a piston and connecting rod i could buy off them? maybe a set of rings for it too?

yeah for what your spending on the new head im sure you could find a complete zetec setup for the same price or maybe a little bit more, but if you stick with the spi good luck hopefully it doesn't drop again

Does anyone know the best way to clean all the deposits out of the intake manifold? Other than shaking it upside-down?

I shot engine degreaser in mine about half way full and let it set for ten minutes, then hosed it out with a garden hose in the number 4 intake while it was resting on the ground and letting the water come out the number 1 intake

hey I think I still have one piston from my engine. dinged up top just a bit but the top ring is still free and it will work just fine.
