That prob. would have been easier for the rear, as you need to remove the rear shock anyways. You would also have to unbolt the rear sway bar on both sides where it connects to the control arm. By the time you unbolt the lower control arm, and the rear sway bar, and then utilize a jack, it would prob. take about the same amount of time, but it might be easier. It only took me about 20 mins to remove and replace the rear spring, and then another 10 to swap out the parts in the rear shock and put it back. So even using the spring compressor I was able to do both rears in about an hour. It would have saved me the time of renting the tool though.

They use those (wisely I think) out west instead of painting lines on the road. Makes a hellofalot more sense than paint, which fades. Plus they act as little bumps to alert you if you're leaving the lane.

So how much did the ride quality change? that is my biggest worry with going lower as the Focus has become THE family car. I don't mind a stiff ride but I just don't want to hear it from others...

Yeah, some black 18" wheels are my next purchase. But $1400-1500 for new wheels and tires was more than my wife and I wanted to spend. So I've been looking every day for the perfect set of Craigslist specials.

They call them "bots dots" and they use them almost everywhere in California. For the reasons described ^. My boys like when I purposely drive over them.

yeah there is no need to plow the roads in winter of course, a lot of southern states use them. Nevada is huge on them in Vegas

Yeah. After they fully settle, I will have the alignment checked and post an update with more current and accurate pics and info. Glad you all enjoyed it!
