Warning about K&N Intake

Install it, just DON'T OVERTIGHTEN ANYTHING!!! ;)

As everyone has said, just don't over-tighten the filter. I haven't had any trouble since getting the new housing. It's definitely a GREAT kit. Enjoy!

I found a great price here (with 15% off = 243.43 $) but I am still undecided about buying it or not. I am not very fond of "check-it-every-day-or-two" to see if it poped up. I understand that the problem most people had was because of "over-tightening", but... come on. In my book, if more than 5 people "over-tighten" things and broke them, it is maybe because the "things" should be more robust.

P.S. I find the K&N intake kit the only one I would buy for my car, but I want to be sure that the problems with it are fixed.

You do realize its the POS Ford part that is causing the issue, NOT anything K&N produced.

I do realize this. But what I don't get it is why it doesn't do it with FSwerks or Steeda air intake but only with the K&N intake ? Excuse my noob question, I said and repeat, I am all rookie or even worse when it comes about cars built after 1990. Nowadays I only am able to change spark plugs on the car and the filter (to some extent). For the rest, there is the service...
