That 2nd gen Neon I mentioned later added a Coan converter and shorter (higher number) final gear ratio with a manual valve body. He later wrecked it and bought an SRT-4 like I did, so we will never know how well it would have run.
He also had plate-fin Moroso trans cooler. He doesn't have to upgrade the clutches it was just a suggestion if wants to run his car hard and have it live.
Nitrous makes so much torque you don't need a converter really. Great if you wanna spent the money, but he'll get more out of a set of sticky tires.
Thanks for the compliment I've been a NX dealer for, ummm ten years...
A converter in these 4 Cyl's work great for a few reason one of them is that even with full bolt-ons. 125-130whp in a zetec the factory converter in my car would only flash to 2400rpm, it doesn't start making good power till 4000rpm. This made for 2.5-2.6 60ft times. Also this means out of the hole the car will be a dog until you can spray the nitrous at 3000-3500rpm. With a converter such as mine, I can spray right out of the hole because the rpm shoots up to 3500 before the car starts to launch and that makes for a killer 60ft time with the power down low nitrous makes.
I bracket drag race with my car for the past 2 1/2 years so I'm starting to learn what works and what doesn't work in terms of motor and drive terrain set-up.
It shows you have been a dealer for that long great info for people who may not know about nitrous, Good to know you sell only the best nitrous kit available, if I ever scrapped the Turbo project I'd have a full NX set-up, with GEN II Accesories.
