I came from an 07 Mazdaspeed3. I really miss the two-stroke like power hit the speed3 had, but that's all that I miss..

I miss the acceleration but there are way more things that I like about the focus, the manual transmission being my favorite.

Since I didn't include it in the original post. Here's a pic of the charger:

Nice looking house behind that Charger !!

Traded up and down. I traded a 1998 BMW Z3 with the 4 cylinder engine and a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Both were high mileage. I did not need a big gas guzzler Tahoe anymore and the BMW was expensive to repair. My Focus cannot take the curves quite as well as the BMW but it is pretty close. My Focus Hatch is fun, quiet, and with the back seat down my yellow lab can see out the windows really well.

2009 Dodge Ram 1500 "Longhorn" to my 2012 Focus Ti.

So quad cab, hemi, 20's, and factory dual exhaust. My commute was 1 - 50 miles a day depending on my job at the time. Parking was a nightmare in downtown Atlanta when I needed to do so. After coming back to two new dents in the bumper in two weeks and paying to fill up a 23 gal tank I finally had enough and started looking for something more reasonable.

Was at a Ford dealership to test drive a Fusion Sport and walked past a sporty looking hatch with factory black rims. "This is a Focus?" No, Focus Titanium. Went home for a weekend test drive to find a C/D in the mail with the 2012 Focus being a top pick that month. Considered it a sign.

As long as gas stays above $3/gal I'll save about a grand for every 6000 miles I put on the Focus. I now have different employer and my daily commute totals 5 miles. So I make myself fill up every payday at less than 30 bucks.

I miss the hemi power and notes here and there, not going to lie. I was considering trading the Focus for a Challenger until I got the transmission flashed. I'm completely smitten now and waiting on steeda cai and sway bar to arrive.

I view my trade as sideways. Came from an 08 Mazdaspeed 3 with a good 5-6k in parts added to it. Always DIY, by the time I traded it in it was running a conservative over the shelf tune from Cobb on their AccessPort and putting down close to 300whp. I had the fuel pump I needed to push it further but got to seriously thinking about why I was dumping so much money into a car I hardly ever let loose to do what it did best, and decided to part out and trade. I miss it though, the power, the fun factor, and the hatchback (should have gotten a Focus hatch, but I still love mine)

The day I brought the Mazda home:

The Mazda at it's finest:

Thanks, Seriously Focused. My wife and I have both been blessed with good jobs and we live in an area where a little money goes a long way toward housing. We were also fortunate enough to have our builder offer to buy our first home so we could build this home. We have been here almost 3 years and we absolutely love it.

My 2010 GT was my only car, so when premium hit $4.50 a gallon, I started to regret trading my '07 Focus for it. Plus, it was just a matter of time before I got myself in trouble with the GT. I miss the power and sound of the V8, but, I like the 37 mpg regular-unleaded I get with the 2012 S, instead of 21 mpg the GT got. I can also take momma for a drive now, and not get myself into a domestic situation, LOL!

i traded my 06 hatch for this focus, but before that i traded a ram 1500 sport 2wd with the slug 318ci motor and 12 mpg... i was really sold on the hatch when gas spiked and the tranny on the dodge went....

I traded in my 98 Mercedes E320 in towards the purchase of my Focus. The Benz, when it was new, cost around 50k...back when my mother originally purchased it new.

I really hated to see the car go, but it was finally time to move on.

The only thing that I miss from the Mercedes, compared to the Focus, is the almost entire absence of road noise and the soft ride.

Other than those two things, I really prefer the Focus.
