Here's a pic of what the snorkle looks like:

And this is the inside with the airflow splitter:

Still wondering about possible using the snorkle and modding it to accept some flex tubing and a "funnel" of some sort to make it more ram air-ish; funnel mounted in grill opening by the PS whisker?

I sure is a restrictive mess isnt it?

Pardon me if I've missed the instructions in the thread, but could someone clue me in to how to completely remove the plastic cover over the snorkel? How do you separate it from the grill/bumper to give enough room to remove the snorkel and cut the rubber piece?

TIA!

Sound tuning I figure. To prevent a possible whistle sound or something.

I did not remove it completely. You should be able to pry it up enough to work under it. It is pretty flexible.

+1

It's kind of a pain, but it's very possible to work with it like that.

Easily done, just get yourself some extra bonnet pins to replace the ones you might break. I just cut one side, the side closest to the air duct and saw great results. Will go back in and cut the other side this weekend. Might also chuck out the resonator and cover the hole with something, or do the newmission mod.
