thanks for the reply!
I don't actually use itunes... I was just wondering if playing music by folder name through sync had anything to do with the id3 tags... i'm assuming it does? |

Make sure the music is listed on the flash drive. Transfer the music from the flash drive to Windows Media player in the MEDIA LIBRARY tab. Click on PLAYLISTS, and then CREATE NEW PLAYLIST. Go back to the Media Library and Sort the music by the file name to show the file path starting with the Flash Drive Location (E.g…E:\MUSIC\MYMUSIC\...). Select the songs that you would like to add to the playlist and drag and drop them, or right click them and send them to the correct playlist. Once the playlist is complete, click on FILE and then SAVE PLAYLIST AS. Click on MY COMPUTER, and then select the drive associated with the flash drive. Change the Save As Type to Any Playlist. Name the file and click on SAVE. If you have any questions, let me know. Jaclyn

I had a recent update on this matter. It still bugs me that the although "shuffle albums" appears to be a feature, it is never usable.
I called Ford Sync services asking about this. The lady I talked to proceeded to ask me if the Album label shows up when I'm playing a song. She said that if the album name is not displayed on the screen, MyFord Touch is not recognizing the album (because it is not tagged in the file) and therefore it cannot shuffle albums. Does anyone else have the Album displayed on the screen when playing songs off USB? Mine does not, i've triple checked to make sure the mp3s are tagged correctly. It shows the album artwork, but does not display the Album name. |

Yeah, mine displays it there also, but she was referring to the main screen. It should list Track name, Artist, and Album name. According to her.

Nope. The main screen is track name and artist only.
