Product Review: HD Nitro Seal

http://www.3dproducts.com/HD-Nitro-Seal.html

Bought this about a month ago with hopes to apply soon. Just got around to it yesterday.

I did a one step polish to make sure all the previous sealant and wax was removed, leaving the bare paint surface the NS needs to adhere properly.

Application is a two step system. You apply Part A, which is a thin liquid, allow it to haze somewhat, then apply Part B, thin paste, right on top of part A, thereby mixing them together. After both parts have been applied you then let it cure for a minimum of 30 minutes, to a maximum of several days. Then you buff off. Part A has a very significant "wetting" property. This means that you only need a few drops MAXIMUM to cover the whole car. Part B is a bit thicker, but needs hardly any anyway.

I left mine to cure for about 2 hours for the first coat and 7 hours for the second. VERY easy to buff off even after 7 hours. Left an extremely slick surface. My microfibers slide right off the hood.

How does this compare to other sealers/wax's that you have used?

I can't comment on longevity. (but it's said to be 12 months, I'd be happy with 8)

In terms of feel and look its top of the top. By far and away the best.

BUT it was also the most expensive. Double the next cheapest I have. $60 for enough to do maybe 3 cars.

Looks great, is it hand or machine applied. I don't know if I want a sealant that lasts that long for my car, I like working on it, maybe for family members cars that I can't do regularly.

I did it by hand. I didn't have any buffer pads that weren't abrasive with which to apply it.

Of course you can top the NS so I plan on topping with wax.

Yeah I might need to check this out, I originally used polish/sealant, which had enough cut for my first polish, but only lasts 3 months and I won't need to polish again, so I need a separate sealant, and I need a new polish because it doesnt have enough cut for my girlfriends car, need something more abrasive.
