getting a power wire to the alternator helps out a bunch too. its one of the "three"

there are some companies that do it but its cheaper to buy the stuff yourself and make your own. just get some good 1/0 gauge wiring and some ends and make your own. its cheaper and you know the products you pick will be of high quality.

Some Big Three installs have a fuse in-between the alternator positive and the battery positive. Is that necessary? Under what conditions would it be necessary?

Also, anybody have pictures of where the alternator positive is on the Focus 2012? How hard is it to reach?

Any pictures in general of where the wire is run so as to avoid radiator/engine? Thanks.

Use fuses unless you want your car to possibly catch fire.

Well I use circuit breakers.

I mean, I was planning on putting a fuse between the battery and amp. Do I need one between the alternator and battery as well?

fuses are to protect the wire and not the oher electrical parts in the system.
