I personally have a Pioneer x930bt. It is excellent. Bluetooth phone, streaming audio, ipod, built in navigation with optional traffic, DVD playback, backup cam capability, etc. Works flawless.
Hey man are you still running with the ACV kit? It looks like it will be my only option as the Metra kit won't work on euro cars.

Ran into a snag...when the tablet is plugged in there is a horrible ground loop. I ordered a ground loop "cleaner" but probably won't be here till next week. Ill post pictures then. Sorry for the delay.

Not surprised there is some criticism of those buttons. They look like they'd be cheap even in the picture.

Good to know it fits well though. I'll be waiting to see some of your guys results! Thanks for trying it out early!

I'd been debating ever since I got the car whether I was going to bother installing a double-din. Thought I might be able to live with the Sync system, but I think having a nice head unit beforehand ruined it for me.

I am. It's doing the job but I'm lacking control of the upper screen, the steering wheel controls. And the fitment isn't perfect, which is annoying when I paid +$350 for this thing.

Why won't the metra kit work with euro cars? The wiring harnesses are the same. ACV kit was built for euro models but I use it on my US model.

Tell me about it mate - this is the response I got from Metra:

"Yes we have tested this part in the Euro models and have found that
none of the newer fords (Fiesta or Focus) are anything like the US applications..

Here is the name of my Metra distributor that handles all of the European market for us.
They might make something that would work form your application..

CONNECTS2
44-121-522-5588"

I didn't want to believe it but it's pretty expensive to just take a chance. Maybe over time there will be other choices.

Still interested to see a "Fanatic" with the Metra kit installed.

Thanks for being the guinea pig with the other unit.

I was hoping to install everything today, but the USB that goes into my tablet stuck out too far and hit the air vent. I just ordered another (smaller) one but it will probably be another week before I get it installed. Sorry for all the delays, unexpected difficulties keep presenting themselves.

It actually came out well imo. There was still issues fitting wires behind the air conditioning but in the end it fit relatively well.

It actually looks good, I may go that route now even though I had decided against it.
