WOW! This thread has certainly been active today, to say the least. I'm glad to see the lip is getting such good feedback from everyone! At work today it was getting plenty of attention and compliments from co-workers and managers, so it certainly does seem to be a good improvement to the Focus' aesthetics.

Now, to try and reply to all that was posted. I hope I get everyone!

Most likely, but lowering is definitely off the list for now. I think that doing so would also prevent me from getting into my driveway ever again. We just have to have one of the steep ones on the street.

We started by removing the six clips that hold the plastic undershield to the bottom of the front bumper; we tried to make it work with just those but the lip was still too heavy. So, the outermost two remain and the other four holes have the small nuts and bolts in place instead. So, all that was needed were the factory holes and a little creativity. Luckily, I had exactly six pairs of the nuts and bolts laying around, in the exact size needed. The lip merely sits below the bottom of the bumper, and the plastic undershield remains in place.

Thanks! I'm giving the clear time to cure but I intend to have it wrapped in 3M before winter hits. I'll touch on the pricing at the bottom of all of this.

18's are always a possibility for a future season, but for now I'm going to work with the Rs. Due to winter and new wheels, this is already the third set of tires the Focus has worn in 7500 kilometers. Those suckers add up!

The oft-asked question. I can tell you that it wasn't quite that much, but it's not a cheap piece either. Details regarding pricing below:

I was quoted three prices for three different lip variations (varying materials used in construction). I chose the most expensive, full CF version (and by choosing CF I could also pick the weave I wanted) to save the time and trouble of trying for a paint match.

Now, I am about to send an email off to Downforce tonight as I promised following the arrival and install of the lip, to provide my feedback as to what I think of it. I do not know if Downforce wants me disclosing pricing information yet, so I will ask and wait to hear back before sharing anything. I will also see what else I am allowed to share, for instance regarding availability. This particular unit was made once I ordered it, there weren't even any on hand yet.

Hopefully I can soon share more details with you all. Until then, thanks again for all the comments!
