I just went to the only tinting place in Whitehorse, YT. They quoted me $500 to tint all the windows... Tint made of gold?

If they are using Huper Optik, that is in range. My tint installer charges $450 and gave me $50 discount as a returning customer. But I knew I was going to get a quality job. The place I go to does the tinting for the Ferrari, Maserati, Audi, and BMW dealers. I have learned with tinting and car stereo installs, go to the places that the high end car dealers and owners go to.

They use Llumar. I would understand if the place was high class, but it's a Toyota dealer who just do tinting on the side and charges 3x more than the actual price.

$450 for tint on a Focus? I don't see how it is any different than my $239 job and I like the fact that they've been around for 20 years more than if they did highend cars.

That's the nice thing about being the only place in town!

I paid $280 for every piece of glass in my car.

Three is a big difference between a $239 tint job and a $450 tint job. For $239 you get darker windows with UV protection and very little, if any, temperature reduction. For $450 you get that plus a huge temperature reduction. My car is still comfortable to get in after setting in 90 and 100 degree temps for 8 hours.

My guy has also been around for years. A Ferrari dealer is not going to send a $250,000 auto to just anybody.
