My 1999 Escort

Here's the before picture of the rust again, and then the after. I still have to clear coat it though

I got a set of rims today for $130

Thoughts?



They're Enkei rims, but I'm not sure which kind exactly.

there not too bad, but the tires look real beefy. smaller profile tires with a mild drop and i would call it a day

Yeah the tires are 70's. The ones I have on my steelies right now have more tread, and are 60's. I don't know how much it is to swap out tires, but I don't have much more money right now, so I may have to stick with the 70's on them. They came pretty dirty, so I'm going to paint them. I'm thinking either white, or black. Suggestions?

i wouldnt paint them personally. and running a 70s is going to throw your speed off about 5 mph, and since its a bigger tire, when your going say 70 your speedo will say 65. if you do paint them, make sure to scuff the hell out of em with some 320 grit, then 500 grit and a wire brush. then some primer, sand more, filler priimer, sand more, base coat, and clear. any less than that and wheels wont withstand more than a few months if your lucky before they chip. good luck

14"s :( I don't really have much to spend right now, and those were a really good deal. 4 tires, decent looking rims, and there's quite a bit of tread left. And anything's better than the steelies I have on the Escort now.

Not poking fun just asking I figured they had to be 14s that was way too much tire for 70s if they was 15s. I just didn't want to insault. Trust me I've been there money wise I've gotten damn lucky deals on everything on my car.

I know you aren't poking fun I'm just saying, I know they're small rims. I was wanting 17"s. But that's all I can get right now. Do you know how much those rims are actually valued at? I have no idea. And do you know the model?
