If other models are doing this, then I would think that there should be a setting in IDIS (ot whatever it's called) that can changed to make it active on ours. Kinda like DRL...

Then again when its 100+ in Texas, most people don't roll down their windows.
100+ outside, 120+ inside. Would be nice to vent all of the hotter air as you're walking up to the car. Then, A/C and windows up once you're inside.

yup:) not much crime in the areas i'm in anyways. plus i don't keep much in my car...its a car, not a storage unit! i use sync with bluetooth so my music stays with me (CDs=bleh!) don't have a sound system other than the stock package, i like to listen to the car most of the time and bigger subs and an amp are added weight to slow you down! plus if the key is more than a couple of feet away from the car, you can't reach in and unlock the doors w/o the alarm going off:)

Would like to test if my Germany model has it. How to do it though? Keep holding the open and close buttons?

Mines a German built one... Once you press open on the key press it again and hold it, it takes a few seconds to activate

My Titanium doesn't do it, but my wife's 2012 MKZ does.
Just hold the unlock button down for a few extra seconds and it rolls the front drivers door and passenger door windows down and opens the sunroof.
Comes in real handy on a black car w/black interior on a hot day.
Being as my Focus has the same black/black combination I wish I could do the same thing with my 'intellakey' fob.

My 2004 BMW had this feature ... was really nice to open the windows a few minutes before leaving work to let the hot air out.

I know my previous cars had this where pressing unlock/lock would open/close the windows and sunroof; but haven't found anything for this one yet.

Discovered the feature by mistake too, but it was pretty cool to have. I think even the latest Fusions have this feature.

Hey everybody -

Interesting! I'd use it to cool the interior before starting it, and I have a silver Focus. Nothing is listed about this in the 2012 Focus owner's manual. However, I recommend submitting this idea to our Ford Social site here: http://social.ford.com/. Have you all seen your dealer about getting this set up?

Noles1983 -

I'd always recommend driving 2-3 minutes with the windows slightly cracked at first. This will improve A/C cool down time. Check it out in the 2012 Focus owner's manual (5th print, pg. 118): https://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conte...OwnerGuidePage.

GN Prime and Noles1983 -

I can think of some other reasons, too. Noles1983, My thoughts exactly!

If you're interested in this feature, I recommend visiting your dealer to see if/how it can be set up.

I wouldn't mind it being on my Focus. Please remember to submit this idea to our Ford Social site: http://social.ford.com/.

Take care,

Thomas
