Out of curiosity, how well did the bolt fit? What kind of thread protrusion do you have after install?

I was really curious about a stock bolt, because the local purchase bolt isn't shouldered. I have been meaning to pull the mount and double-check the bolt for any marring from engine movement, but haven't really gotten around to it yet. Maybe this weekend in the shop...

Did the MS3 motor mount to day. That has to be the easiest mod. yet. The stock Ford one reminded me of the trash bag comercial "wimpy wimpy wimpy"
They charged me almost 5 dollars for that bolt at ACE Hardware. Yikes
Will test it out later. Still working on the Steeda STS though.

The bolt did protrude past the actual motor mount about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. It held fine. I have since installed the MS3 bolt, as I thought the stock Focus bolt was making contact with something, but it turns out it wasn't. So it's fine to use.

I could see this making a huge difference in shifts in the 5sp manual, but what about the DCT? Do you guys think it's worth it (those that have tried)?

Unless the diameter of the shoulder fills the hole completely I wouldn't worry about the extra space. I just added some washers to add some strength to the side plate and if there are issues I'll just Tig weld them in place.
