Magnaflow Center Exit Exhaust Coming

I know this is going to be for the ST but I bet it will fit our 2.0 Focus. No pictures yet on Magnaflows site. Dunno if this was mentioned yet but it got me excited.

Has anyone noticed an increase in mpg when changing the exhaust, or did it stay the same? Does the stainless system have any weight savings over stock?

Maybe a few pounds because you are getting rid of the resonator and massive muffler. But nothing to shout about though. I haven't noticed a fuel mileage gain, mainly because its fun to drive. But I have had no loss in fuel mileage.

This is a bit too expensive for my taste, and wallet, but it is a Ford part and it doesn't need to have the valance cut up.

Magnaflow lists a couple of new cat back systems for the 2012 Focus hatchback and sedan.
But it doesn't look like a center out system, the sound clip shows the hatchback version exiting in the stock location.
Just has better looking tips than the crappy turned down tip Ford put on it.

Stainless is the same weight as steel but because of the minimum 10% chromium that is required to make it stainless (aside from a few exceptions) and any other possible alloying elements it has a very good corrosion resistance.

For anyone thinking of doing their own work on it I recommend getting a qualified welder that knows stainless to do that part, if its done wrong or gets too hot while welding it loses the corrosion resistance and will just rust like any other exhaust at the weld area.
