OP, this is one thing that bothers me too. I've had mine for a couple weeks shy of a year. I always lean over to look around the steering wheel when putting the key in the ignition. I'd hate to scratch up everything. Whether those rings will fit or not, I don't know. Don't the models with the ambient lighting have LED rings?
I have a SEL with the ambient lighting... and no it does not have a LED ring.. I don't think it is so much you can't see the ignition, it's more of the ignition is set slightly more angled then other cars. When I switched over from a Fusion to the Focus I had a hell of a time trying to get the key in the right spot.

Well, I think the only solution for now is to tilt your head every time you need to run it. My brother last week came to my city and noticed how I tilt my head every darn time :S

Not a big deal, but really inconvenience though.

My wife drove my car (which is very rare) last weekend and I noticed her give the ol' head tilt herself.

Why can't you just splice into the dome light wire for when you open your door? Run the wire down the steering column up the a pillar and it's all hidden. Idea.?

I guess I've never seen a need for it...I've never had a single car that had lights surrounding the key hole but I've never had trouble finding it. If you use it once or twice you should be able to know where it is by muscle memory.

I won't need one for my titanium, I was just throwing out an idea. That's what I'd do if I was having trouble finding the hole.. But then again I'd probably just look and save myself some trouble in doing that.
