That sucks. You should have your dad clip the ears onto the upper strut mount and bearing assembly and go for a ride when it's convenient...

I'm thinking we can do that when we get the STS in. The ears are always in the garage. I've got Mon & Tues off this week so maybe if he's not busy we can go cruising for a couple hours with different things hooked up.

I don't know how many channels he has, but I would also clip the end links also, jic. Maybe save some trips. I'm pretty confident in my own diagnosis for my car, but different cars could have different issues.

I wanna say its four or five channels. So we can hook up a few things and try different road conditions.

I just got off the phone with the shop foreman at my dealership. They now have a tsb out for this issue covering cars manufactured through April 2012.

Yes,
A service manager called me this afternoon from my dealer. The tsb replaces what I had done already.... the strut bearings and the springs...it does not not work. I told him this and he said that he was going to email (since it was late Friday afternoon) Ford engineering and see if there's something else that is indicated. He will let me know next week. He and I agreed that I do not need to be bringing the car back and forth to the dealership just to hurry up and wait.
