Dude, you have 16 (at this moment) posts on this forum, and 14 of them are about how great is Amsoil.... no "Hi, my name is ....., and here are photos of my ride, so at least you know who are you dealing with", no, just straight away "Amsoil is ze best!"

This does stink like some ugly marketing pig.

...so, waiting for intro with some nice pics of your rides.

Mark my words, in the following year there will be many informative posts by me with solid evidence of what you can and can't do with engine lubricants in the new direct injected 2.0 Focus engine. Expect detailed threads from install articles and lab reports to back up claims and findings.

Yeah, I think you are right. He did say "we" in that quote.

Perhaps Amsoil is like Amway. This guy's posts are very cult-like with regards to this product. Kind of creepy.

Hello,

My name is Troy. Which car would you like to see? My new 2012 Focus Ti?

or the 700 rwhp GT500 I just sold because I was tired of the poor fuel economy and desire to have more power?

Your post doesn't stun or shock me, some members of the GT500 crowd acted the same way when I shared my experiences with them about Amsoil. Odd, after two years of proof, most of them are now using it.

I/WE as people I chat with on oil forums and such. Others that I talk to on the inside of big oil companies who disclose information to me that may get them in trouble.

Look up "UnleashedBeast" on the SVT Performance forums. I'm a trusted member there with so many PM's in one day for oil advice. I was even nominated by a moderator there to be the new mod in the oil section. *I'm winning that poll by the way*

Give me time, you will see that I am not biased on a particular lubricant brand, but formulations that actually deliver. That's why I recommend Mobil 1 Extended Performance to guys buying off the shelf.

I will be the "go to" guy for lubrication advice.

Nice to meet you sir, my apologizes for acting like I have 5,000+ posts already.

Is Amsoil affiliated with Amway in any way?

Thanks, but I won't miss it really. The car took ALL of my spare money. The desire to go faster could never be pacified. 14 mpg in town @ $4.00 per gallon was taxing my budget.

That get's funnier every time I hear it.

No, they are not.

Amsoil was once spelled, "Amzoil" after the owner's name of Al Amatuzio.

In NA cars that aren't driven hard then regular oil is fine as long as it's changed regularly but in a turbo car I wouldn't run anything but synthetic since turbos run way hotter (900+F) than anything on a NA motor and need to be cooled down after driving and synthetic resists "coking" on the turbo bearing much better than dino stuff. Synthetic also pours and flows much better at temps under 0F which is a big deal when starting your vehicle in freezing temps. Synthetic also has better heat stabilization and resistance to burning and simply gives a hard driven engine extra protection and a bit bigger margin for error of something goes wrong.

It's not marketing hype for those who will really benefit from it. With my 4Runner I just use it mostly for length between changes.

I'm the same, and this is the reason I use cheap conventional oils. The top end of my '01 Focus at 135K miles is pretty, and I've put nothing but Castrol GTX in it. That car is for sale, and I'm not sure how I could have justified more expensive oils in the end.
