Wonderful premium upgrade you have there, Ford.

Never had this issue with 2.11 or 3.0.2. My hands free stuff has always worked well.

Also, maybe listen to something else if you know your parents will be with you, that way when this bug you know happens often happens, they aren't treated to Octomom on the sybian.

Not trying to be that guy, but your story ends with a jab at Ford that makes it seem like it's their fault YOU listen to Howard Stern and probably embarrassed yourself in front of your parents.

Explain your logic, or is your lack of it my fault too?

My radio always turns on after I hang up a call. I'm glad to know this is a feature. Is it also a feature that sometimes i can't turn it off and am forced to listen to some random static-y country station?

Yeah, the only problem is that when I hang up the phone on my Focus, the audio system seems to choose random radio stations that I've never heard of. This is immediately apparent when I hear Spanish over the radio after hanging up the phone. I can't speak Spanish (unfortunately) so I can assure you I have never ever tuned in to most of the random stations that suddenly appear on my audio system.

My biggest aggravation is losing iphone connectivity every time that I have to get out of the car while running errands, etc. My iphone almost always syncs up very quickly when I first get in the car, but never seems to reconnect properly after each time I stop the car & get out for a few minutes. My phone will sync up again properly only after I return after being away from the car for a long time.

This chronic MFT issue is just another example of an absolutely wonderful car being saddled with a very sub-par MFT system, in terms of exhibiting ongoing glitches, bugs, etc. I'm a loyal Ford guy & will wait (impatiently) for a version 4 MFT upgrade for my car, but it's just so disappointing to know that Ford would attract many more customers with a MFT system that works like the customer expects it to work.

By the way, the basic Sync system on my '09 SES has always worked like it's supposed to work, so I'm confident that Ford can get the MFT right.

Hurry up Ford!!!

No, your fault that you listen to Octomom on the sybian via USB and that hanging up a call tends to start playing your USB device, so the whole anecdote about your 'rents hearing that whole bit and how you listen to Howard Stern altogether is irrelevant to the issue, because it's not Ford's fault that that's what you listen to.

My point was you know about the issue and could have avoided it by playing something more appropriate before your parents got in the car with you, then the glitch would have simply started playing music or what have you instead, and the whole awkward situation would be avoided.

Your last few statements regarding that whole part of the story just came off to me as if it was Ford's fault altogether, which I disagree with.

I, in turn, have to respectfully disagree with you feta. In my opinion it is Ford's fault altogether. Could it be avoided? Yes, I guess so. Should the onus of avoiding the situation be on the owner/user of the system? No, I don't personally think so. I don't think it is too much to ask to have an audio system that is turned off simply remain off.

"Faster, simpler, better" is what the "upgrade" was marketed as. What is better about the owner having to remember things like switching audio sources, unplugging iPods or whatever, etc. before someone else may be riding in their car because an audio system that is off may decide to turn itself on for no reason other than someone hung up a phone? Again, avoidable? Yes. Should it have to be avoided? No. I put it on Ford altogether.

I should avoid the radio/ipod/Sat radio turning on automatically after hanging up a call, by NOT LISTENING TO ANY of it. Thanks. Now I see why this is my fault.
