Did you happen across my comment in the previous page? It is actually quite easy to install the bracket without removing any parts.

I didnot see your comment, and I did it the Steeda way. It did take a while, but it was easy enough. I mean, its just removing the intake and battery tray. Sure there are like 15 steps, but I thinhk step 1 was like "go outside and open hood". Not hard at all. The hardest part for me was getting the bracket on, I did not notice any build up on the bracket, but still would no go on. I sanded anyway, and it would only go half way. A pair of pliers got it on all the way.

Im back to revise my review. Now after a full day of driving the car, I love the shifter feel. Has me longing for a shorter clutch.

i did actually. I don't have my car right now, so I can't go look to gauge it. Car should be back thursday, but I have to work all weekend.

Like newmission said you can install the shift bracket without removing anything but getting the bracket to fit flush is insanely difficult .i still can't get it on there

God i hate retention springs. I think i need an additional set of hands here. Who would had thought the bracket would be the easy part?

Protip: a buddy to help makes the annoying retention spring a non issue really. The biggest tip of all when steeda says carefully remove the plastic cap and washer from the stock shifter they mean carefully. I was a bit too vigorous and shot the plastic washer end thing about forty feet off to its death where i will never see it again. So moral of the story is until i find a new one i have no shift boot because i have to manually lift the linkage to get into reverse and despite having short throws, no matter what gear i am in the shifter will go back to sitting in the neutral position between three and four despite being in gear. At the end of the day i could do it all again in an hour with the help of a buddy and no lost parts.
