To be honest, I am WAY more excited about my Focus than anticipated.

I got the focus due to car issues that required repair that exceeded it's worth. I was happy with my car, the only thing I really wanted was a new stereo so I could plug my ipod in. There was some minor bodywork needed, but again it was totally fine for my purposes (Errands, 30 mile commute a few days a month.)

Last time I got a new car, I was excited enough but I felt like it was just a car to go from point a to b.

For my focus, I am making excuses to drive so I can play my iphone, make calls from my car, use the HD radio. It is all very exciting! I love the sunglasses holder, the comfy seats, the heat warmer, and the great styling. I am so excited to get into it!
I wish I had the rear camera, but I'll look into an aftermarket one in a year or something. I LOVE the parking sensor. So helpful -- I have never been great at backing out. I won't be in an action movie driving in reverse on the freeway anytime soon. I blame my nearsightedness.

My favorite feature is absolutely the intelligent access. This makes things so much easier.

I am still getting used to the car and figuring things out. But all in all it is great. I have some minor beeFor Sale:
Wide turning radius
Manual feeling transmission (as especially at stops or in the driveway)
Occasional flakiness with My Ford Touch (I need to unplug/replug in my phone to resolve generally)

All in all, I think it was a great decision. My friends love it, but my family hasn't seen it yet.

I never knew something dead for almost 7 months could rise again, but I believe now.

Likewise, forceflow2.

I wanted to kick-the-crap out of my car soon after I bought it and things started developing. Now, it kicks-the-crap out any other small sedan I've owned.

Truly, a frog to princess metamorphosis. Not perfect, of course, but close enough.

Smile Cup holders?

I can't believe it only has two cup holders? Come on Ford you had cup holders in the older Focus'. My only real gripe other than automatic which even with the updates doesn't shift very well.

+1 to the intelligent access, I'm a big fan, some of my friends and family think it's gimmicky but I really like it, just pop my keys in my pockets when I leave the house and away you go.

I wish we had more HD Radio in Canada, I pick up a few US stations where I am but it's intermittent.

I was thinking of doing the same. My Focus has 55K on it and is running great. I am certain that any MFT quirks I have with the Focus Ti will probably also be in the Escape. The DCT is working fine but the Escape has a regular automatic. In the long run, at least until Ford gets all the bugs out of the DCT, it will be better.I had the front end "clunk? but that was fixed at 40K.

So I am happy with the Focus just looking for a change. (maybe a Fusion)

Dual Foci

We have two Foci:
  1. 2012 Titanium
  2. 2013 ST (ST2)

The Ti has performed almost flawlessly for the 24K miles on it; the DCT is a fantastic transmission. The ST has just over 700 miles on it and so far, it is absolutely exhilarating.

Both my wife (Ti) and I (ST) are truly delighted with both Focuses.
