Post For 2012 When You Get a Vin#

supposedly the 2013 orders will begin build scheduling tonight through tomorrow, anyone else waiting to see if their order will get pulled from the factory?

I found out my 2012 got built yesterday. I saw some people were able to track their car on the train.... maybe I can figure that out!

So my first post....

Ordered my new focus May 17, called the dealership today and received my VIN. Expected delivery 'before the end of the month'. Going to be my first car so I'm realllll excited :)

One question; looking on the FordEtis website with my VIN the build date is listed as 30.11.0002. Anyone know what this means?

30.11.0002 is the generic date entered into the system when the car is scheduled in the system, but not yet built. Basically its just a place holder.

Delivered 6/13/12

It arrived at the dealer with 100 or so miles on it, and from what the dealer told me, it was likely picked and tested at Ford. I'm all for Quality Control, and knowing that it passed puts me a little at ease (assuming the dealer is being honest lol).

The ones selected for quality control usually have an additional window sticker stating the number of miles put on by the QC team. I'd ask for it.

If everything works out, our 12 platinum white ti hatch, 18" rims and handling package, oxford white and black leather, moon roof, mft,nav,no parking tech, will arrive July2nd. Car was ordered May23,12. So freakin excited.
