That Dyno Run Chart on their Website is suspect.
Does not match the characteristics of this engine.

For us sedan owners the overall length of the vehicle is 6.9" longer than the hatch. All the extra length is at the rear so I'm sure we could easily have the hatch exhausts modified to fit our vehicles. The only downside is you have to pay to go to an exhaust shop unless you have the ability and materials to do the work yourself.

Today I decided to take exception to your statement about the Focus being a cheapo eco car.

This car is not a cheapo, not at the cost of it and not in the design. It is not a luxury car either but that doesn't make it cheap.
It is built for those who want a quality car in ride and refinements in function and comfort. The fact that it is small and has good economy makes it ideal for those who need economy but don't want to sacrifice everything else. Why do we americans think if it isn't huge it must be an eco box? This is where the cars of the future are going. Quality in a smaller package with the ride and performance of the large cars of yesterday. The design and tech rivals most all luxury cars of a few years ago with even better safety and economy. Cheapo eco car it is not! So moding them is a natural extension of this process and not a total waste of time.

How exactly do you do that, fine tune it I mean. I've never dealt with an exhaust shop. Do they just have ready to bolt/weld together parts and you select what you want, and then pay them to cut/add more parts if you are not satisfied?

Something like that. Every exhaust shop is different in what they carry.

If you know what you want you can either buy it on your own, or buy it from them if they happen to carry it.

umm, ok, so beside getting a discount bc you know someone, what is the difference in using an exhaust shop and buying your components are a retailer and having it installed.

Hey don't like to bump dead threads but I figured this might interest some people.

Noticed it while just browsing. You can pick up the cat-back for $386.99 + 28.99 shipping from Pro Exhaust Performance on Amazon right now.

If you order it from Amazon itself it's even cheaper at $391.81 with free shipping.

I don't care whether you like the exhaust or not, that's a good deal compared to the competition. Figured anyone who was considering this might be interested.
