My son and I have recently gotten into nitro rc's. I've done most of my purchases on ebay and amazon. The comparison to the manufacturer prices is way less. I just bought a chassis ( sidewalk at full speed ) for $14.00 inluding shipping. The manufacturer wanted $18.00 + shipping.

No good or even decent hobby stores here in the Killeen/ Fort Hood area. I have to suck it up and buy off the bay most of the time. Sometimes I get lucky at Hobby Lobby but not very often. The one hobby store we have here has the same problem damn near every one of them have that I have been in. Some fat guy sitting behind a counter wishing he were somewhere else doing something else. I dont believe these guys to be the owners but the owners are just as stupid for letting them chase off business. Here's an idea, hire someone who actually enjoys building a model, flying a RC plane, building and launching a model rocket, plays with model trains, or anything else remotely related to the items you are attempting to sell at your establishment.

OK, there, I am done.

Dad's Toy Shop in Wapakoneta, Ohio is the best hobby store I ever seen and they have a lot of experience with almost everything. They sell everything form model trains cars die cast, remote control parts and service you name it they got it.
