I utterly hate working on drum brakes:

With discs, it's typically 4 bolts per wheel, compress the piston, and put it back together. You can do a front disc job with new pads and rotors in well under an hour.

With drums... 1 hour trying to make the brake spoon engage the star wheel and fail, 30 minutes trying to pry the drums off the pad and fail because of the rust lip on the drum, spend 2 hours hammering off the old drums in half-inch chunks, undo all the springs and pins without cutting a gash through your hand, try to reassemble new hardware (you DID buy new hardware right??) and realize you should have left the other side intact until you put this side back together because you can't remember how everything should connect. 6 hours later and it's good as new. Not to mention your brake shoes had lots of life left in them but you couldn't tell that because you can't see them easily without removing the drum...

What a damn hassle. All so car companies can sell you on an "upgrade" to safety equipment that be standard. I've got ABS, ESC, TC, and a billion air bags, but I still have to pay extra for rear discs...
Another plus about having discs on all 4 wheels is that disc brakes retain their stopping power in the rain better than drums

Has anyone found out when the individual parts of the "Black Pack" will be available for us 2012 owners?

Stone Leather Interior

I can't believe Ford discontinued the Stone Leather interior and kept both of the hideous Tuscany Red and Arctic White options.

Is offering both a black and a tan leather option too much to ask?
That seems pretty standard to me.

Isn't the 2013 Electric model coming with Stone Leather?

Now that I know for sure that the Stone Leather has been dropped, I can go locate a 2012 SEL, White Platinum exterior with Stone Leather interior. :)

Because the stone wasn't selling whereas the other 3 were.

Personally I found stone interior to e awful and it's not like it would've been available with my Blue exterior either.

I agree that the stone interior is awful and should be discontinued. Looks like a grandpa car. [What happened to the barf emoticon?]

The Arctic and Tuscany packages are gorgeous and Ford should offer more 2-tone color options to match exterior paint colors. Yellow blaze, sonic blue, and others would look sweet as interior 2-tone style packages. Plus the leather quality and seat cushions are superior to the stock leather ones.

Tan leather can interiors are right up there with polished brass door handles and chrome bumpers...

Artic and Tuscany are both hideous imo, but to each his own. And the fact that the only leather available in 2013 is either these two, or the equally ugly black with red accents, you couldn't even order a Ti with cloth in 2013 if you wanted it. I guess that's why I'm glad that we were able to have such variety this year and am sad to see it be eliminated.

Yellow blaze is gone for 2013, along with Red Candy and Frosted Glass. All colors which sold fewer than 10% each.

It is odd that the Frosted Glass Focus was only available with a stone interior, where as the 2013 Escape is only available with the Charcoal black interior.

The Stone leather looks much more appropriate on a light colored car than the black leather. It is more of a shame that its been dropped imo, but I'm not the old grandfather you'd think would enjoy it.

Although my car only has the cloth interior as I didn't want leather badly enough to order the premium package and take the parking sensors, and the rain sensing wipers.

Red Candy is being replaced by a nearly identical color: Ruby Red Metallic.

Agreed...LOL.
Noahsfocus comment on the two tone leather and cushion quality being superior to the "regular " Torino charcoal leather (which I have in mine) is bogus. In fact, our F150 and my wife's Escape Limited leather interior pales in comparison to my Focus. The Torino leather used in the Focus is a thicker, better quality, and the double exposed stitching is on par with expensive interiors seen in BMWs and Mercedes. I find the two tone leather treatments to look kinda cheesy, now, if Ford offered a two tone Alcantara/leather combo as seen in many sports cars, that would be worthwhile.
