HOW TO: Wiring in Illuminated Door Sills

See I am not sure how much power those other ones draw so I couldn't tell ya.

Pulling the panels actually went extremely easy. I took the whole thing apart as if I were to install the sills, only problem being I don't have the sills yet. In fact, I'm yet to order them. Oh well, at least I know this is something I can definitely put on my to do list.

As far as stock (from Ford) they only come for the front two. The four door kits you see are aftermarket

The four door OEM is the same as the 2 door OEM. It is two lighted panels for the front two doors. The aftermarket look more for the 1st generation in my opinion.

But remember, you will have two focus labels right next to each other when you go with the aftermarket. 3 if you have the factory rubber floor mats.

And you will also be slamming the door on the stainless steel sill plate which is going to scratch if you ever have any dirt/rocks between the sill and the door. I am sure you will keep your side (driver) clean but I don't think anyone else in the car will do the same.

Atleast the factory ones are far away from the harsh treatment of a slamming door. But that's just my $.02!
