Again, I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just a bit of inconsistency. Maybe it just works particularly well where I live (st. louis)
I'm sure it's great when it works, which for a lot of people isn't often. I'm glad yours is working fine for you, and I hope it stays that way, and to be honest I hope Ford can finally deliver with a fix for MFT that isn't just a crappy patchjob of bad code written on top of existing bad code.

I love MFT, it's a great system it just needs a lot of refinement and testing to get it right.

I truly am glad it's working well for you though, the more good cases I read the better.

Thank you, but I wasn't referring to MFT as being great, just the GPS part of it, which wasn't written by anyone at ford anyway. I guess it figures that's the only part that works like it should =/

This looks like it might work for my Garmin nuvi 1490lmt 5" screen, if it isn't too far toward the driver, it won't pick-up satellites.

Comments?

I have found the mounts from Proclip USA are the best out there. Instead of a mount that sorta works with many different devices, they have mounts that work perfect with your specific device. I have one installed on my Focus for my iPhone 4. It does not block any buttons with its location beneath the passenger center vent. And it is angled perfectly for the driver to see. They may cost a little more than others, but well worth it.

I know, that's what my first paragraph was referring to. The rest just MFT in general.

I've been using the samsung OEM car mount for my galaxy S2. My only complaint is that the arm is a tad short to mount it low. I have to reach up to hit the voice command button on my phone to get things started.

This one looks good, but my gps reception is 10x better 3 feet forward. It's also more natural for me when the gps screen is near the windshield.

Like your phone holder. I chose the ProClips pillar mount for the GPS (with attachment for my specific GPS) and air condition vent (with Scosche Universal Dash Mount)

ProClips:

Scosche:
