A stock SVT has 30 more horsepower and doesn't run 14's.

Those bolt-on mods will net you less than 30whp for a grand total just shy of 150whp.

Weight reduction would be the biggest factor but I still don't see it happening. Low 15's maybe, if you slam the gears hard enough, or maybe skip breakfast that day.

Oh, it is also worth noting that since you have a 2008, your car will be inherently slower than 2009 and newer models due to a different final drive gear.
SVT has shit gearing for an all motor car, great gearing for a turbo car especially 1-2. Now that I re-read the thread I realize you have a 2.0L, I have to agree I don't think 14's are possible unless you strip the car and even then.

Well I guess it would have something to do with this not being a 2.3l on slicks... You are in the wrong thread.

Ooh, sneaky edit.

I assumed when he mentioned 14's he had a 2.3 and I was like, yeah I think that's doable considering the extra whp, then I re-read the thread and say 2.0L and said hell no.

14.7's are possible with bolt ons, tune, stripped, and a 75 shot... seen that done. but busting high/mid 15's maybe with just bolt ons.

Really? I did 16.0 with just a couple of bolt-ons. I was thinking I could drop 1 second off by adding cams, head, header and lighter wheels. Add an LSD to the mix and still no? Anybody have all the bolt ons and run a D20?

Maybe it really doesn't add that much. I was thinking for about half the price of a turbo I could reliably hit 14s, but maybe the turbo is worth the extra cost....
