Nearly had a heart attack...
So I stop by a car wash tonight and it's one of the auto ones that I've never been to and I didn't realize until I was in it that it was one of the ones that use rotating brushes. I'm almost completely through it when I hear a bang and I see in my side mirror that the fuel filler door has flung open. OK, I'd heard that some folks have damaged the door in a car was and I'm fearing the worst but thankfully no damage done.
Won't make that mistake again... Brian |

Close one with the fuel door!! You might just have to polish and wax the car now to fix what the car wash brushes did!!!

Yes, I had a panicked moment when I hear the bang and saw the door open and then great relief when it was OK. I don't see any scratches in the paint, but those rotating brush car washes are very dangerous to the finish. You just can't know if the last one through was a Jeep covered with sandy dirt from a day of four-wheeling. Nightmares...
