Congrats on the numbers Focusboy! Really impressed. I love these cars so much.
As was asked on the third page I believe, could you post a pic of the air fuel ratio from your runs? It's for me as well. I'm curious not to start a debate on whether its lean or not just for comparison. Also, im in Minnesota, not Maryland. Haha. I did joke in one thread you had that I just moved there but.I put jk after it. :). You think we could get a sticky or at least a thead with your info (mods, username, dyno, etc) and videos, plus RedFocz info, and my info all in one thread for comparison for our other forum members so its in one spot? Ps, you had just recently accepted my Facebook request. Corey Mccane. Sweet blue Focus too!

I know this is gonna open some scars, but RED how are you spark plugs gapped. FB has his at .055. I did check mine and they are .038-.040. I also noticed that the spark plug that was listed SP-522 and now has SP-535 too.
The spark plugs have to do with Build dates. SP-535 BUILT after: 6/1/2011 SP-522 BUILT before: 5/31/2011

My 4/23/12 build Federal emissions 2012 Job 2 Ford Focus SEL is a Flex-Fuel vehicle. (50-state, which should also be compliant in California, but California emissions vehicles by themselves are not necessarily Federally compliant to the same standard, even though it should be.) |

Once a tune comes out, I see no reason that we shouldn't see whp in the 180+ range with the factory manifold/cat in place. Just a tune, intake of some sort, and exhaust. That is pretty darned good for an engine that has been tuned to be an economy engine. Think of what this engine could do if it had factory cams and a higher flowing head and intake manifold along the lines of the old SVT Focus. The whp and tq numbers obtained by RED and Focusboy and others on this site are right there with the new 2.4 Civic Si engine (Honda finally has given that car a little bit of torque) with a smaller Non-performance engine. Ford did good. If it weren't for their push for EcoBoost, they could have made a 200+ hp NA performance Focus easily. |

This is also one of my theories on why our engine is so under ratted. With the 1.6EB hitting the market, I don't think they want an NA engine out performing it.
