Unless they just tried to install it again and told you it was a reset. I believe, but am not positive, that during an install it writes your info back to the drive and then puts it back on the system when the install is done. When I installed V3.0.2 over V2.11 all of my info was back on the system after the install. When I do master resets though, it has been gone.

Kind of like backing it up and restoring? Seems like with such a temperamental system, you'd be better off skipping any restoring of content.

Since the latest MFT update, I have not had a phone ring when someone calls my cellphone. The dealer is unable to correct the problem as of yet. Can anyone tell me what is wrong. I already tried settings and selected a ring tone, but still doesn't ring when a call comes in.

Perhaps try erasing and repairing the phone? I know with the iPhone, it won't ring if the audio isn't set to be routed to Sync.

I got my car in at the dealership for the third time today regarding a number of issues including some from MFT. The Service Director with whom I talked to, told me to expect Ford to bring back the possibility to have a real ''wallpaper'' like we had prior to V3.0.

He told me that we can expect this in the following months. Yay?

So I take it he's indicating a new MFT version coming in the foreseeable future? If so, did he give you any idea when that might be?

I made it to the dealer today to have 11A03 installed. So far I'm not liking it.

His word's were: ''Expect the wallpaper option to come back eventually, like it was before'' He explained to me that this was and still is, a popular MFT options that was taken away with V3.0, as you know it.

As for when it will be available and how it will be done...I don't know. He just told me that Ford will bring it back like it was before, some time in the future.

He explained to me that his dealer used the ''old wallpaper option'' (before v3.0) to show a picture of the dealership with all the contacts infos, such as tel number, emails, toll free, road assistance etc...I think it was a clever idea, but since V3.0, your wallpaper gets cluthered with the 4 quadrant and you cant really see in the back ground, so he stopped using it that way.

Heh. I had that problem, followed by all the numbers disappearing completely. This was day 2 of the forced update, and the numbers never came back. It's in for another fix now.

Also, I can't be bothered to pull fuses and such... that isn't normal operation on a brand new car, after paying around $1500 for MFT + Nav... Ford needs to deal with it, in my opinion.
