best tire size for street/ track use
I'm changing my 2012 S sedan from the stock 195/65-15 inch wheels, to 16 inch. My wheels will be 16x7's. I want to go with BFG, KDW2's or BFG, GForce Sport Comp 2's. I don't care about noise or ride comfort, I really enjoy feeling and hearing the car work.
My question is to someone who's done some track time. I'd like to run a 225/50-16, instead of the stock 215/55-16 tire. I figure a shorter, wider tire, that's the same weight as stock would be the better set up for cornering. I may be completely wrong. I'd definitely appreciate some experienced opinions.
