I think I'll get one too, dash reflection is really bright, compared to older Foci.

My SEL has a speaker on the dash. I looked at Dashmat and they said there is no cutout and that the mats are acoustically transparent. Does anybody have any experience with this?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The speaker in the dash is pretty bad, and some have even disconnected it to get better stereo separation. I doubt you'll notice decline in the sound of your system. If fact, it might sound better if the mat actually blocks some of the sound.

On that note, do you know how to disconnect that speaker?

I saw your other post about this, but...

You just pop off the grill, unbolt the speaker, pull off the connector, and bolt the speaker back in. Hardest part is CAREFULLY removing the grill.

just ordered a dash cover by dash designs from auto anything. Got the charcoal color to go with a black interior. They also had cover king and dash mate brands but dash design had the best color choices for me.

Hi Focusinva,

Just wondering if you have any pictures of the dash cover in place on your Focus? I'm looking to get one for my little hatch but I'm on the fence about getting it in charcoal or in black.

Thanks!

sounds like this should be next to my list... the mk3 dash is so deep and it radiates way too much heat....
- question to those that have it, hows it holding up so far?
