Your VIN using the X and not the second 2 is a Canadian Red Candy Ti hatch.

Vin's have 17 characters. The spot where the X and/or second 2 occupies is the "check digit" in a Focus VIN. It can be anything. It looks like Ford used CL431819 for the Canadian car. I think your dealer gave you bad info. Contact them and see where the error lies.

Gotta run, dealer just called and said my Ti is actually here....

Yeah, it seems like you got the wrong VIN somehow. The last six digits are unique to each Focus, there can be no duplicates of the last six AFAIK.

Mine was a Sunday before Memorial Day holiday build. They're working 7 days a week, any day is just as good/bad as another.

I saw that yours had come in, did you pick it up yet? How you like it? We now have a little over 1500 miles on ours in a little over 2 weeks!

Damn you've done a lot of driving so far. I've had my car by the paperwork since 5/1, but wasn't able to pick it up until 5/3 with 18 miles on it. 3 From when it came off the truck, 9 from my test drive, and 6 or so when they ported and prepped it (yes I'm a little confused as to why it took 6 miles also, but they didn't start the warranty clock until 33 miles, but they started it based on the paperwork going through on 5/1/12). And almost a month later I have just over 800 miles on mine. But unfortunately some idiot had scraped my rear driver side door, as well as someone else putting a dent and a scratch into my right front passenger door . I put the most miles on it the first weekend I had the car, and since then have settled into generally just commuting to and from work. I had put close to 300 miles on her the first weekend.

Very nice!!!! They sure did hussle the car down to the dealer after just being built last weekend!! Glad you finally got it. You have us beat, we waited 10 weeks!! Our gas mileage and DCT are both improving by leaps and bounds with increased mileage. While our DCT has never been really bad, I can sure tell what all the fuss was about. However, while you can still tell it is not a standard auto, it is very acceptable to me. Mileage has increased from mid to upper 20's on mixed driving, admittedly "spirited" driving, to low 30's on the same type driving. Saw 38 on the highway on a short trip, 34 on a longer 2 1/2 trip just after turning 1000 miles on the odo. Hope you have good luck with yours. I can really tell a big difference in both power/performance/mileage now vs brand new.
