It's a whole lot cheaper than a car payment!
Did you get new or used parts on your clutch job? It sounds like a bad repair for only lasting 21k.

The master cylinder I did myself with new parts (and what a headache it was); this is actually the (original) friction plates slipping--they're worn out after a good bit of city driving and trailer pulling.

Car's at the shop now; I found a good rate on labor and some decent parts. Now as long as nothing else breaks...

Fix it and put the car payment that would have been contributed to a new Focus into escrowe account. Save for a few months and viola', a down payment on a new Focus. ((((THINK AHEAD MAN )))).

If the rest of the car is in decent shape, then I'd say the new clutch is a reasonable investment. Like REV2004 said, a clutch is cheaper than sixty months worth of new car payments.

2010 Ford Focus S with ATX turning 100k

Oil changed every 5k-7.5k
1x Battery.
3x Wheel Bearings.
Power Steering Pump.
1x Set of tires.
2x Windshields

I'm still on the original brakes. The car drives fine and only needs Sparkplugs and the TB cleaned. Though the suspension is showing it's age by being a little loose and soft so i want to change out the Shocks/Struts and and replace any bushing when it comes time to replace the tires and brakes.

200k here i come!
