You should learn to use the oversteer to your advantage, In a front drive car the way to keep from spinning is the opposite of what you are currently doing. Mash the go pedal and point the fronts where you want to be. The tail will follow. Not the fastest way around all corners since you are bleeding energy while sliding, but a good way to get around some of the tight stuff that would other wise be painfully slow. Turn in... make a sandwich... rotate and go. A good example of where to use a drift would be a tight Chicago box, or set of 90° turns.

Also getting some front camber on a McPherson strut will help when you autoX.

quickly, I run -2.4 camber in front per side, -0.18 toe front. -2.2 rear camber per, 0.0 rear toe. Eibach sways front and rear, front Koni yellows full stiff, rear koni 1-1 1/2 turns off full stiff. if she plows ill soften up the front half a turn. LFB FTW!

Front camber is going to change the car entirely if you've been running with NO front camber... Its definitely going to help to keep the front end from pushing through turns.
