I used Armor All tire foam. It didn't effect the dip at all. I put it on really heavy too. I let it sit over night and then gave it a light wipe down in the morning.

Actually tire shine cleans plastidip really well. Makes it look like you just put it on. Avie will speak to that too. And Ryan...

I get what you all are saying, that's why I put Black Magic tire shine on the plastidip - I thought it would make it glossy. But when I sprayed it on, within about a minute it melted the plastidip right off.

if i dip my whole car, then put on the glossifier, will it still peel off like normal plastidip?

yes.

BUT as people have said, unless you apply the dip really thick it's a PITA to remove. Plan on spending like $200 on dip, you're not going o get by with 3 cans.

i'm probably gonna get the kit off of dipmycar.com to do it. it comes out to just a shade under 400 including shipping.
but if i like it, it's worth it.

Here's my contribution-

From the standard 'new' pic-

So what do you think? Do I make these mods permanent installs? I'm uneasy about the tail-light assembly...

I like the way you did the taillights. Overall it looks really clean. Nice work!
