Yeah, I'm getting kind of pissed about the slowness of the delivery process -- the train carrying my car was in Indiana last Thursday and it's now in Wyoming. The original ETA from Noemi, which seemed overly pessimistic at the time, was 5/28. My dealer indicated late this week maybe Monday the 28th. The last update from Noemi is 5/30 and if that is the date I will not be home to pick up the car and might not be back home for 2-3 weeks.

I'd estimated about 5-6 days for the train assuming an average of 40mph and 15 stops of 5 hours each. I thought 5 hours/stop was worst case but apparently the rail shipping industry doesn't have the same notion of speed that FedEx and UPS does, hell, they make the USPS seem like go getters...

Bummed...

My original eta was 5/14. It got pushed back to 5/21 and as of this morning due to supplier issues it has been pushed back yet again to 5/28. Tell me about slowness.

Supplier issue -- has your car even been built yet? I did not get an ETA until after my car was built (5/7). It looks like it's going to take longer to get the car after it was built than it took to have it built -- something wrong with the logistics if that's the case...

I believe they said their car was built and about to be loaded on the truck when the driver noticed it had a flat so it was sent back to the plant, and there could be a supply issue with the o.e.m. tire to the vehicle manufacturer increasing the delay, but that's merely speculation on my part. I know that the 16" SEL wheels and tires were an issue preventing allocation for my order the same week that it was placed for the date 3 weeks in the future when it was to have been built, however the following week the dealer had allocation for them + the car and it was scheduled and sequenced with a vin in week 2.

Mine is the same. Probably stop in the middle and take off for the holiday.

I did hear they are adding more shifts, but I don't know what their work schedule is.

From What I've seen/ read someplace it was something like approximately 60 cars/hr and previously they were running two 9 or 10 hr shifts and were planning to shift towards three 8 hr shifts, but at a run rate of 60 cars/ hour and a two shift operation that's up to 1080 cars/day. Although it could be as few as 960 cars on a two shift 8 hr day.
