I do like my auto-mirror but I'm wondering if it's because of manufacturing issues? Mine will not stay in place - it continually drops lower and lower. I need to take it into the dealer to have it replaced or something.

I like the universal opener as well - surprised that's going away.

Yea, I thought I was going nuts. Every few days I have to readjust my mirror back up too!

I did a little more digging and thought you might be interested in this. I was looking at something called the 2012 Focus "Sourcebook" that is basically a pretty comprehensive (44 pages) guide to the Focus - standard features, trim levels, options, etc. My guess is that it served as a training aid to dealers to get them quickly up to speed on the new model they were to start selling.

In any case, under the "Performance/Handling" section, there is a small entry for "sport-tuned suspension," and they had this to say about it:

Sport-tuned Suspension
Standard on Titanium models
Included in the SE Sport Package
Delivers the ultimate in Focus handling performance characteristics with:
Revised strut and shock absorber tuning
Revised steering assembly tuning
16" aluminum wheels with P215/55HR16 tires on SE models

Interesting that it mentions revised steering assembly tuning. I wonder what that could mean - I'm guessing maybe stiffer control arm bushings or something? It can't be anything too pricey...

Does anyone know the last order day for Canada to order a 2012?

Ford just stunningly screwed anyone who doesn't want a black interior. One of the great selling points of the Focus compared to the "you'll have black and like it" competition was the fact that you could get a nicely loaded SEL with the stone interior... and now that's gone.

This may just have cost Ford two sales. (I'd been lusting after one, but didn't order due to an inopportune job situation, and my mom was seriously considering one to replace a leased car due back end of July, and both of us wanted blue/stone SELs.)

(And yes, I actually joined just to post this.)

That's what I suspect, too...

Is there a way that dealers could change an inventory order perhaps? or is it too late for that too?

I don't bloody get it. One of this car's obvious strengths was the fact that you could get a stone interior with any exterior colour (as opposed to the competition which either only offers black, or only offers the light interior with one or two exterior colours). Ford just threw that away.
