Cleaning tinted windows?

When I had my windows tinted, I was told not to use windex or any cleaner with alcohol or ammonia. I was told the tint would eventually fade, etc. So, I was in the store that tinted my windows the other day and I picked up this new stuff called Solar Majik. It's a silicone cleaner just for tinted windows and can be used on glass also. It was only about $7.00 a bottle. Cleans the windows great...No smearing etc

Just curious,
Have you guys in the tint shop tried "lintless towels"?

I had my windows tinted and had them redo the tint because of small bits of debris between the tint and windows.

They are now sold on the lintless generation.
They said it not only made their job easier, but have all but put a stop to any retints due to problems between tint and windows:)

I believe I got some stuff from Walmart called Gunk Window & Glass cleaner. I haven't used it yet. Anyone have any experience with this?

I tried it and liked it:)
The only thing I didn't like was the spray, it was hard to keep from getting everywhere..., could be a bit messy if not carefull..., especially for interior glass.

It would be better to spray on your cleaning towel than on the glass to keep from overspraying everything, then follow up with a final glass buff towel:)

Does anyone know if natural window cleaners would be ok to use?
Or even a vinegar/water mixture?
