Hi all,

New here but a long time visitor. I'm waiting for my ideal Focus to become a reality, but for some reason Ford still won't let me get Race Red on a Titanium! Any ideas as to why?

Also, sad to see some features like the universal garage door opener, dimming mirror, and rain sensing wipers disappear. I was already bummed we don't get an HID option, but to see these features start to disappear as well is disappointing.

Race Red, HID's and most of the options (or better versions) that are part of the Ti package. As to the wipers (no) and others I'd have to check.

why would they delete the universal garage door opener, thats such a convenience to the buyer...kinda bummed about that. Possible to add a 2012 one to the 13?

I am quite disappointed in that, as well as deleting the automatic rear view mirror. These are the features that make the Focus upscale. Although, I am glad that they are dropping the auto-wipers.

It would be a cakewalk to add the garage door opener and auto-dimming mirror to a car that doesn't have them. Both parts are fully self-contained and could easily be swapped for their respective non-functional parts. The garage door opener is built in to the visor and would be plug-and-play, as would the mirror (though you may need to wire it up to 12V)

I think the HomeLink mirror is listed in the accesory catalog. Not sure if the 2013's will be pre-wired for it or not.

It's this ease of implementation though that makes me question why Ford would delete these two items in the first place. How much could Ford realistically be saving here?

I'm hoping it's just a typo in the order guide.

Yeah, it is in the catalog and is listed as combatible with both the 2012 and 2013 Focus.
