Now all you need is a set of black housing headlights. It's looking "clean" so far. lol

Yeah, I want to do that, but something about putting my headlights in the oven feels so wrong...

I actually opened mine up over a wood stove. All it takes is some form of heat to melt the glue/silicone they use. It's not to hard.

Maybe I will give it a go sometime this summer.
I am in the process of making new suede boots right now.

also, completely unrelated, I finished restoring a rare pair of Lambda Systems CAD4 speakers today.
Before:

After refinishing the cabinets:

Final product:

These are gorgeous, and sound beautiful. Worth the work, especially since I got them for $15. (I pretty much stole them )

Looks good. What are you using them on: Tv, computer, or stereo?

I'm not sure yet. These will probably be my dorm speakers, and eventually (after I complete making a nice set of stands for them) will be my main computer speakers (my computer acts as my t.v. and stereo as well). I currently have a pair of large Technics speakers as my main speakers, but they are big (three ways with 12" woofers) and in need of repair.

Well, I've been busy with work so I haven't been around for a while. I finally managed to get a small (by small I mean tiny) amount of work done. I installed yellow fog lights and am getting yellow tints soon. It is hard to see the difference in the pictures, but in person it is quite obvious.
Before

After

I got some led licence plate lights, one unfortunately didn't work, so I am waiting for a replacement. This however provides a great opportunity for a contrast shot. LED on the right, stock on the left.
And finally I finished stitching my own shift boot out of black suede. The white leather is finally gone and it looks so much better. i should have a matching boot made for the ebrake by next weekend.

Not too exciting stuff, but my upcoming projects include a new set of wheels, black headlight housings (as soon as I can convince my mom that it is a good idea to put my headlights in the oven), plastidipped stock wheels, new wheel lugs, black drums and red calipers, color matched mirrors. Performance mods are going to have to wait. #1 on my list of performance mods is a tune from Tom, then maybe some SVT shocks and Struts, and perhaps a race header and a rear sway bar. I'm headed out autocrossing for the first time with my brothers. Both are pretty experienced. My 0-60 in eventually Focus isn't going to be keeping up with my brothers 04 Turboed Subaru Impreza WRX and definitely not my other brothers 65' Chevrolet Corvair V8 race car.

But hey, that's why they have classes. Hopefully I will have some sweet photos, and perhaps a Street touring class win? So far my only registered competition would be a 98 VW beetle. Wish me luck at my first Autox event!

So today was a big painting day. I decided to pretty much paint all the things! So I cleaned and painted my rusty drums, springs, shocks, struts, and calipers. Also, new shiny ( as opposed to rusty) lug nuts and wheels are now plastidipped black. It was a productive day.
Drums and shocks before:

After:

Wheels before (I forgot to get a picture of the struts and calipers):

After:

Also forgot to mention my replacement led licence plate bulb for the one that cam broken arrived today and now is installed. Next up on the agenda is plastidipping the front diffuser, tinting fogs yellow, black headlight housings, and color matching the door handles and the mirror caps. I am struggling to resit the urge to sticker bomb my car, but so far I have managed to not add any. I will have full car pictures from the autocross event tomorrow!
